A Unique Trend

For the first time the price of Bihar, Karnataka & Maharashtra Maize are all same for export purpose. This only shows the good networking between the 3 major maize producing regions in India.

However the Bihar maize is towards its end and the quality is not up to the mark. But both Karnataka & Maharashtra maize is of good export quality. Best time to import would be from 2nd week of November with forward contracts booked from now. As we go further into November, prices should increase with sustained overseas demand. This demand would be supported because of the fact that Pakistan maize which had emerged as the main competitor of Indian maize this season will be nearing its end stock by October end.

Comments on the above observations are welcome.
